Bio
Benedetta Sarno, aka Dr. Ben, graduated from TUFTS Cummings School of Veterinary Sciences in 2009, and has been working at VESH, on and off, since 2010. She comes to Veterinary Medicine from a research career as a wildlife biologist, where she studied gulls, deer, wild boar, salmonids and gadoids. She has recently returned to VESH from a spell in her native Italy, where, while getting certified and boarded as a veterinarian according to EU requirements, she worked as a B&B manager and a shopper during lock down.

Dr. Sarno likes variety and has worked in emergency and ICU, general practice and shelters. Her professional interests range from ER medicine and shelter medicine to wildlife biology to epidemiology of infectious disease to homeopathy and beyond. Outside of work, and her family, she loves knitting and fiber arts, reading, cinema, travelling and weed pulling. She is passionate about the environment and healthy living for people, animals and the planet.
