Our Veterinarians

Dr. Natalie Levesque
Medical Director & Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Levesque was born and raised in southern NH. She attended the University of New Hampshire where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She then went on to attend veterinary school at Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM degree. Although she enjoys both large and small animals, she has found a passion for emergency and internal medicine.
With her free time, Dr. Levesque enjoys a variety of craft projects, reading, gardening, and going on adventures with her dogs Gunner, Ammo and Taco.

Dr. Timothy Lampman
Orthopedic, Soft Tissue, & Neurosurgery Surgeon
Dr. Lampman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a DVM degree in May 1996. The following year he completed a one-year internship in small-animal medicine and surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ. From June 1997 through June 2000 he completed an intensive small-animal surgery residency at the University of Minnesota, Veterinary Teaching Hospital in St. Paul, MN. There he performed more than 1,000 surgeries ranging from orthopedic to abdominal, neurological, and ophthalmologic procedures.
Dr. Lampman has performed numerous emergency surgeries such as GDV, IVDD decompression, spinal fractures, and GI foreign body removal, and his orthopedic surgery expertise includes any type of fracture management; he has performed more than 1,200 TPLOs and 500 TTAs. He has a special interest in wound management, particularly skin-grafting procedures. Since 2002, he has been conducting surgery as a mobile veterinary surgeon under L-K Veterinary Surgical Center.
When he’s not working, Dr. Lampman enjoys spending time with his family, and is a skilled carpenter, photographer, and cyclist.

Dr. Selvi Kumaresan-Lampman
Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Kumaresan-Lampman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a DVM degree in May 1996. She performed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Raleigh, NC, and then continued her work as a veterinarian and practice owner in Staten Island, NY.
She has been working as an emergency veterinarian since 2001. She devotes her free time to her family, running, walking, designing greeting cards, and playing the flute.
Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Kumaresan-Lampman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a DVM degree in May 1996. She performed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Raleigh, NC, and then continued her work as a veterinarian and practice owner in Staten Island, NY.

Benedetta Sarno, aka Dr. Ben, graduated from TUFTS Cummings School of Veterinary Sciences in 2009, and has been working at VESH, on and off, since 2010. She comes to Veterinary Medicine from a research career as a wildlife biologist, where she studied gulls, deer, wild boar, salmonids and gadoids. She has recently returned to VESH from a spell in her native Italy, where, while getting certified and boarded as a veterinarian according to EU requirements, she worked as a B&B manager and a shopper during lock down.
Dr. Sarno likes variety and has worked in emergency and ICU, general practice and shelters. Her professional interests range from ER medicine and shelter medicine to wildlife biology to epidemiology of infectious disease to homeopathy and beyond. Outside of work, and her family, she loves knitting and fiber arts, reading, cinema, travelling and weed pulling. She is passionate about the environment and healthy living for people, animals and the planet.

Dr. Thomas Diffell
Emergency & General Practice Veterinarian
Dr. Diffell graduated from the Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. Since that time, he has practiced continuously in general and emergency medicine. His special interests are internal medicine and laser surgery.
He divides his time between VESH and his hobby farm in Maine, where he enjoys gardening and caring for his horses, chickens, parakeets, dog, and cat. He says that the great thing about Skeldale Farm is that “there is always something that needs to be done.”
Dr. Diffell has been married to his wife, Lisa, since 1974. They have two married children and five beautiful grandchildren.

Dr. Kasey Burgos
General Practice Veterinarian
Dr. Burgos received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2016 and then went on to the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine to achieve her DVM degree.
Although she loves large animal medicine including horses and cows, her main interests involve small animal primary care, preventative medicine, and dentistry. She truly enjoys getting to know her clients and helping them develop a strong animal-owner bond.
While not working, Dr. Burgos enjoys spending time with her husband and family, exploring outdoors, running and working out as well as watching football and eating pizza.
